Track an order

A Komartt parcel passes 8 places between the partner's shelf in China and your door, and the box on this page shows which 1 it is at. Below, each place in order, with the number that belongs to it and the moment to write to us.

In the box on this page

2 fields and a button. Order ID, which is the number in the confirmation email. Billing email, the address used at checkout. Press Track. The order appears with its stage and its payment state, read from the same record the office sees, so what you see is what we see.

  • 4 stages, each lit as it is reached: Order placed, then Payment confirmed, then Shipped, then Delivered.
  • The tracking number shows beside the Shipped stage from the carrier's first scan onward. Before it there is no number, because none exists yet.
  • Nothing in the box is typed by hand.

In the confirmation email

The email that arrives within minutes of the pay button holds the order number, the items, the delivery address and the 3 lines that were charged, which makes it the 1 document that every later step, from an address fix to a refund, is checked against. Keep it. The number in it opens the box above, and it goes in the subject line of any message about the order.

  • A 2nd email arrives while the partner packs, on the 2nd day, saying so.
  • A 3rd brings the tracking number, the same day the first scan appears.
  • Any later email about the order quotes the same number.

On the partner's shelf

Handling runs 2 to 3 business days. The clock begins the same day for an order in by 2:00 PM Eastern, Monday to Friday, and on the following business day for anything later, including Saturday, Sunday and federal holiday orders. The box shows Payment confirmed for the whole of this stretch, and that is normal.

  • An address correction fits inside the first 12 hours, by email, before a label exists.
  • A cancellation fits inside the same 12 hours, by email, and the whole charge comes back.
  • A sold-out item stops the clock here, and a note from us follows within 2 business days with 3 ways out.

At the first scan

The carrier's first scan ends handling and starts transit. 1 scan, 3 effects. The Shipped stage lights, the tracking email goes out, and the 8 to 12 business days of transit begin counting from this scan.

In the air

After the export scan the map goes quiet for several days. No new line appears, and no new line is expected, because the parcel is on the long tracked leg between China and the United States, the part of the route where no scanner is pointed at it for days at a time. This is the stretch that makes people write. Do not. A silent map is a healthy map here.

  • Nothing to do.
  • The number is the same number for the whole route, so there is no 2nd number to look for.

At US customs

Nothing to do here. Customs is the stop where the duty was already paid from our side while the parcel was still in China, so no bill waits here, none at delivery, none in advance of it.

  • A text message, a call or an email asking for a customs or redelivery payment on a Komartt parcel is not from the carrier and not from us.
  • Pay it no attention beyond a screenshot, and forward that screenshot to the support inbox the same day.

On the USPS truck

From the first United States scan, the parcel is in the USPS system, and the USPS site reads the same tracking number, with a scan most days. Daily, usually. The last miles are USPS miles, to a street address in the 48 mainland states or Washington, DC.

  • Delivery window: 10 to 15 business days from the order, counting 2 to 3 of handling and 8 to 12 of transit.
  • Saturdays, Sundays and federal holidays are skipped everywhere in that window.
  • Late November and December stretch the USPS days; a parcel heading past business day 15 brings a note from us before you ask.

At the front door

The Delivered stage lights at the carrier's delivery scan, and the 30 days for a return on the Refund and Returns Policy begin at that same scan. Open the box that day where you can.

  • A damaged item or carton: 2 photographs to the support email within 7 days of delivery, and the Refund and Returns Policy runs at our postage.
  • A wrong item: a photograph of the packing label next to the item, within the same 7 days.
  • An item that is dead on first charge: the same 7 days, the same 2 photographs.

A map that stops moving

7 business days without a new scan, anywhere on the route, is the signal. Email the order number to support. Inside 1 business day a USPS trace is open. USPS gets up to 7 business days for its answer. If the trace comes back empty, you choose between a fresh parcel and your money. Business day 15 with no delivery scan is our own definition of late, and from that day the Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule of the Federal Trade Commission puts the choice in your hands: wait on, or take the whole amount back. The note offering that choice leaves our inbox as soon as we know, not after you ask.

A delivered scan and an empty step

A delivered scan and an empty step are not a contradiction yet; the scan can be a day early. 48 hours is the wait. In those 48 hours, the household first, the neighbors second, the mailroom or the porch box third.

  • After the 48 hours, the order number goes to the support inbox.
  • Inside 1 business day a trace is open, and a parcel the trace does not turn up is sent again or paid back, whichever you prefer, for $0.
  • Whatever went wrong at delivery is settled within 7 business days of your message.

The Shipping Policy carries every number on this page a 2nd time, and the message page is the other door to the same inbox.
