Payment Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026.

Money moves at 2 places: the payment step, and whatever follows the button. This page covers both, in that order, and nothing here contradicts the figure you see at checkout.

At the payment step

Cards and PayPal

Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, processed by Stripe through a card field that Stripe supplies and reads. Anything missing from that list is not accepted, whatever logo a footer icon or a theme element may show.

PayPal is being connected and is not usable yet. Until this sentence changes, the 4 card brands above are the only way to pay, and a PayPal button seen on the way through is not live.

US dollars, 1 price per item

Prices are set in US dollars, and the dollar figure on the page is the dollar figure on the card. No struck-through price sits beside it. A discount code, when you hold one, goes into the cart and comes off the items before anything else is worked out.

3 lines above the button

Items. Shipping. Sales tax. The shipping line reads the item subtotal before any code, $6.49 under $79 and $0 from $79, per order, exactly as the Shipping Policy lays it out. The button charges the total shown and not a cent more, then or later.

Sales tax by delivery state

Tax is collected in the states that collect it, at that state's rate, on the item price alone. Shipping carries no tax. No tax hides inside a price.

Where the card number travels

The number lands at Stripe and nowhere else. The card form is Stripe's; our server gets back a token that cannot be unwound into digits, so a card number is never stored, seen or typed on our side, and the page travels encrypted between your browser and the server. That describes the setup. It is not a vow that no setup on earth can fail.

After the button

The charge, and a hold that is not one

The card is charged as the order is placed. The confirmation email follows within minutes. An attempt that did not complete, a decline, a tab closed halfway, may leave a pending figure on the card. That is an authorization the bank has parked, not money taken, and the bank drops it within 3 to 7 business days with no action from you or from us.

A decline, a duplicate, a line you do not recognize

A decline creates no order. Nothing to cancel; try the card again, or another card. 2 identical entries against 1 order are a bank-side duplicate, and 1 of the 2 is a hold that drops. A statement entry that means nothing to you: email support the date and the sum, and within 1 business day it is tied to an order or declared not ours.

Chargebacks, after 1 email

A bank dispute locks the amount up for weeks, for you as well as for us. 1 email first reaches the same place faster: a refund, a replacement or an explanation inside 1 business day. Should a chargeback be filed anyway, we hand the bank the order, the tracking history and the email thread, and the bank rules.

Refunds, back the same way

Money goes back onto the card that paid. Not onto a different card. Not as store credit. The clock lives in the Refund and Returns Policy: 5 business days from the parcel reaching Blythewood, then the bank's own 3 to 10 business days to display it.

The box for a code, in the cart

The cart shows 1 box labeled for a discount code or a gift card. The gift card half of that label comes with the store software. This store sells no gift cards, so the box is for a discount code and for nothing else.
